Battle of Lobositz 1756 (December 2011)

The Battle of Lobositz was played in 10 mm at our December 2011 Club Meeting.

Frederick the Great with 29,000 Prussians attacked 34,000 Austrians under Baron de Camus and Mountany, Maximilian Ulysses, Reichsgraf von Browne, on the 1st October 1756 at Lobositz.  Frederick needed to stop the Austrians from raising the Siege of Pirna.

10mm Seven Years War

Have been painting 10mm Austrian Cuirassiers.  They are nice figures and not to hard to paint and you do have enough detail to be able to tell the regiments.  Mostly the ones I have been doing are Austrian they all have red as the facing colour (except the Modena regiment which was blue) and the saddle furniture is also red.  I have decided to paint the horses of each regiment one colour for the entire regiment which will make it easy for the players to know one regiment from another.

We will see how it goes.

Have complete another Austrian Regiment and I am working on a Prussian regiment (7th).
